The Pouchee® Purse Organizer
Many ladies like to match their purse to their outfit. However, they inevitably forget something as they rush to switch purses. That is now a thing of the past with The Pouchee®. And this is my favorite item to keep your purse de-cluttered and organised….instead of carrying around the “black hole” on a strap J It saves you time and aggravation! You can now switch from purse to purse, while keeping every-day essentials organised. Here are its highlights:
- Perfect for those who switch out purses several times a week, and always seem to forget something
- The Pouchee® is essential for the new, stylish larger bags…that often do not have pockets
- Handy rings for ease of changing purses and bags
- Outside pockets for pens, sunglasses, mobile phone, etc.
- Inside pockets for lipsticks or small flashlights, credit cards and keys
- Inside zippered pockets for change or personal items
- Inside dividers to keep everything organised
Pouchee® was created by my fellow Faithful Organiser, Anita Cook, in 2004 when her oldest son gave her a trendy shoulder bag — with no pockets, just one, big, empty bag. She thought, “If only I had a way to stay organized and change purses” and the search was on. Anita attributes God for inspiring her for the Pouchee® creations.
Anita discussed her idea for a purse organiser with a friend, who forwarded me to her daughter, who introduced her to a purse designer, who gave her the name of her manufacturer, and the next thing she knew, she had 2000 Pouchees® from China. Trembling and praying, she made her first sales call and “by the grace of God” they liked her Pouchees®, and so did the next store and the next.
Anita openly admits she’s 60+ years old, marketing, selling, shipping and still having a ball, organising women, one purse at a time. Visit my fellow Faithful Organiser’s website and check out all the colors and styles by clicking here

Stop Letting Time Escape You

Better time management is something you must work on every day. If you feel like that hamster on the wheel, it’s definitely time for a mindset change. Time is not the villain. You can control it. Just be vigilant with protecting your time and meeting all your deadlines. It will not just magically improve for you in one day. Here are some baby steps to get better at managing your schedule and getting it all done.
IDENTIFY PEAK PRODUCTIVITY TIMES
Consider when you are the most/least productive. Are you are morning person? A night owl? When are you most motivated and have the most energy? When you are feeling your best, that is your best, personal productive time. If you schedule a task that you truly dislike during a time when you are least productive it’s unlikely the task will ever get done.
WHEN ARE YOU AT YOUR BEST
Do most tedious or difficult tasks then. Like reports, expense reports, paperwork you hate etc. But schedule that task when you are the most productive and you will be sure to get it done quickly, with less mistakes and a better attitude. Listen to your moods.
TIME LOG
How much time do things really take? For two days, jot down what you are doing, when you are doing it and how long it is taking you. This time log is more than likely to surprise you. You will see how much time is wasted in many unexpected ways. Often it appears that the busier you feel the more time is wasted.

Organising Your Purse
Juggling work, family and personal life on the go can get hectic and cluttered. Your purse can be your saving grace at times. So why shouldn’t it be better organised?
Being organised means you are ready for the next thing, the next event, the next emergency, the next appointment. I have found that if my purse is a mess, I am a mess. And since there is never a big enough purse for all that I THINK I need to carry with me at all times, the size of the purse constrains what you can pack…which can be a good thing.
If you are tired of digging around in your purse, briefcase, or backpack for your glasses, wallet, or MP3 player, then check out the Purseket. This organising tool can transform your purse from a “black hole” to an organiser’s dream. Their website is www.purseket.com.
With this insert, everything has a home in your purse and it makes changing purses a snap!

One of the biggest clutterers of our purses is paper and receipts. So carry an envelope or dedicate a pocket to keep only receipts, coupons and lists from getting damaged in your purse. It will help you find things much faster.
Purses with several outside pockets are also very helpful in keeping organised daily. I keep one left outside pocket dedicated to my phone and one side outside pocket for my mints. I use these two almost hourly when I’m out and about meeting appointments and clients, so finding them in the same place helps me not get sidetracked searching.
Another tip to de-clutter your purse is weekly maintenance, maybe while you are watching TV. Stuff creeps in all the time so every week: bags often because stuff creeps in.
-
Remove garbage
-
Toss useless stuff
-
Put things away
-
Replace what is used up
-
Pick out the loose change at the bottom

How to Organise for a Picnic
Memorial Day marks the start of summer and summer is full of BBQs and picnics. Get your family and friends together and eat some delicious food outdoors. Play fun games and enjoy one another’s company!
We’re taking the stress out of preparing with these tips to get your picnic on! :
Pick a Date and Location
If you live in the Valley, there are a million beautiful areas to have your picnic with all our beautiful parks, Lake Meade, Lake Las Vegas and Red Rock Canyon. Weekends are the most popular for picnics, so be sure you have a date everyone can attend.
Gotta have a Picnic Basket and Coolers
Picnic baskets and coolers are important to transport your food, so be sure you have a couple. If you have more people, you will have more food, so plan the amount accordingly.
Set the Menu
Simpler is better, especially with higher temperatures. Consider hotdogs and hamburgers; or even a bucket of chicken from KFC. Don’t forget non-perishable snacks like licorice, chips and crackers for appetizers. Examples are:
- sausage
- candy (Such as lollipops, taffy, and gumdrops)
- sandwiches (ham and cheese; peanut butter and jelly)
- fruit drinks and soda
- pretzels
- chips
- hot dogs
- corn dogs
- Condiments, horseradish and dipping sauces (for carrots or celery).
Don’t Desert the Dessert
Like any good meal, it may not be complete unless you have dessert. Frutis are perfect ways to serve dessert outdoors, especially watermelon. Be sure to bring paper plates and knives to serve everyone.
Get Your BBQ on
Smaller hibachi-type grills are perfect for picnics. So are the one-time use mini-grills you put together that cost less than $10 at Walmart. Be sure you have a bag of charcoal, lighting fluid, matches or candle lighter, and a bucket to put out flames.
Start Making Ice
Spare any spoilage and prepare ahead by making plenty of ice a week or so ahead of time in your own freezer. You can also purchase ice the morning of your picnic at Walmart or your local gas station.
Entertain Outdoors
What would you like your picnic to be? Mostly sightseeing? Volleyball perhaps? Frisbees are are small, but travel well for fun. Don’t forget the tunes and bring a radio or IPod player. Write a list of the activities you want to hold and be sure you have all the equipment a week ahead of time. You now have the perfect setting for a delightful summer picnic!

Is Your Car Full of Clutter?
Most busy people allow the junk to just pile up without ever even trying to de-clutter it. Every time they see their junky cars, it stresses them out a little more. Believe it or not, organising your car is one of the easiest things to organise. Plus the results surface quicker and you instantly feel better. We all rely on our vehicles to get us from point A to point B, especially in a hurry. But what if a co-worker or colleague wanted to drive with you to a luncheon or networking event? Would you be embarrassed? Would you have to prep your car the night before because the passenger and back seat is so loaded with embarrassing clutter? Here are our tricks to get your car de-cluttered in no time:
Take everything out, all at once
If you have Saturday off, get up in the morning, while it’s cool and light outside, and take everything out of your front and back seat. Have a garbage bag near by. As well, have two bins or crates near by. Mark one crate “KEEP” and the other crate “DONATE.” Sort loose car items as quickly as possible and put them in the garbage, “TO KEEP” crate and “TO DONATE” crate.
If your trunk is full, you may want to conquer this space on another Saturday; but using the same three sorting bins mentioned above.
What You Want to Throw Out
Throw out all trash, such as old receipts that you don’t need, old cups and food wrappers, and any junk mail. Don’t worry about vacuuming the car at this point. Just get the interior clear and de-cluttered.
Think Convenience
When you are driving to work, what do you typically need every day? Mint? Lip gloss? Cup holder? Note book? Make sure these staple items have a home in your car permanently. Many cars have nifty little pockets along the door and handle that are perfect permanent homes for the little things that make your commute easier.
Spend Extra Time on the Glove Compartment
It’s pretty limited in space, so you probably want to keep items to a minimum in there so you can easily open it without items spilling out. Suggested items to keep in your glove compartment are:
- Insurance card
- Vehicle Title
- 1-2 new air fresheners
- Bank envelopes, if you use the drive through ATM often
- 1-2 favorite CD’s
Really Look at Your “KEEP” Items
If you travel a lot in your car or are a salesperson, you may want to consider converting your trunk into storage. You also may want to consider these nifty car organisers that create neat, organised, and permanent homes in your car within reach.
If you would like to learn where to purchase these fabulous car organizers or how to better organise your vehicle, especially if you are on the road a good portion of your time, call Little Miss Efficiency Organising Services for a consultation at 702.673.0624 or info@littlemissefficiency.com. How to Organise for a Road Trip
We all look forward to getaways, no matter how long or short, far or close. Although I am characteristically an “overpacker” I firmly believe comforts from home are necessary when you embark on a trip. Here are some tips to get ready for your next road trip adventure.
Start packing a week a ahead of time
Nothing worse than stress, so plan ahead. Packing the night before almost guarantees you’ll forget something. Thinking about it ahead of time, will help you remember all the details.
Outdoor gear
If this summer you are headed to the beach or are looking forward to your accommodations’ pool, don’t forget the sun protection, beach towels, sunglasses and flip flops to get to the pool. It ain’t a vacation when you have to run, jump and “ouch” your way to the water.
Comfort from home
Things like pillows and house slippers are important for you to be comfortable in the hotel. Most hotels and motels have wake up call service and courtesy hair dryers and ironing boards. But it always helps to call ahead and be sure. If not, you will have to pack accordingly.
Snacks
Save some money and headaches, by packing a quick bag of snacks for the road. In case you reach a patch of deserted road, you’ll be prepared and everyone will be less crabby.
Toiletries
For women, these probably take the longest to pack. Give yourself a couple days before the trip and put everything you use out on your bathroom counter. Make a list or start a toilietry bag. There are some great travel size bottles to take a portion of your necessary lotions and hair products, like these.
Wardrobe
The weekend before you depart, hang all your outfits up on a separate hook and coordinate your accessories. By doing this ahead of time, you can get all your clothes clean and plan accessories accordingly. Try to pack outfits that can be mixed and matched at least two times during the trip.
Itinerary and Maps
Have a colored, manila folder with all the reservation information and maps. Keep this near your keys so you will not forget them when you head out.
Pack Car the Night Before
It’s so exciting to take a break and explore other places. Eliminate chances of stress for your family by packing the night before. In case you wake up late or run short on time, you will be glad you did.
By no means am I suggesting this list is all inclusive, but it will definitely get you ready for your trip. If you travel often or wish you were better prepared for your vacations and trips, Little Miss Efficiency can help with a personal desk zoning session.
